Most of the commenters here make insulting generalisations to compensate for their own inadequacies. To follow up on my last comment, though, did you make a mistake in the wording of this poll, or did you really mean that dog owners should have training to be obedient to dogs? Also, maybe this site should use reCAPTCHA, it's easier for people and helps digitise books.

Most of the owners of dangerous dogs can't read and don't care about education. They have macho dogs to compensate for their own inadequacies. They don't register them and they train them to be nasty. We need a ban on the breeding and sale of pit bulls, not because of the dogs, but because of the humans. And a lot more prosecutions of owners.
